Hi my name is Ali Dzenawager and I am the team captain of Ali’s Army. I started this team because I was recently diagnosed with CHL (Classic Hodgkins Lymphoma) and want to be a part of this event to help raise awareness in hopes of one day there is a world without blood cancers. After many sleepless nights, hospital visits, doctor appointments and more, it was my turn to hear the dreadful words, “you have Classic Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.” I wanted to wake up and someone to tell me it was a bad dream, however I had to accept that this is my new reality. While finishing my final semester of college as a student teacher, followed by walking across the stage at graduation in May of 2024, I planned to start my masters degree while teaching this upcoming September. Basically doing what I love. I will not let lymphoma stop me. I am confident that with all the supportive people in my life, my family and friends, I can get through this and continue to move on with my education as well as live life, pain free.
